Amy is a dedicated and passionate teacher with over 15 years of experience in education. 

 

She has a BA in English from the University of Texas-Austin and an MA in English from San Francisco State University. In 2004, she completed the TEEMS graduate program in English Education at Georgia State University and started her long career in the classroom as a 9th grade English teacher in Atlanta, GA. 

 

After moving to Texas, Amy taught high school English at the prestigious Liberal Arts and Science Academy in Austin.  She is now in her 5th year teaching English composition at Austin Community College, where she has developed a true love for teaching writing.

 

She lives in Austin, TX with her husband, two kids and their little brown dog.
